Two things Japan is known for above all others: Mount Fuji, and tea. This bottle holds both.

Highlights

  • Kōshun cultivar — a Shizuoka-born variety prized for its delicate floral aroma and natural sweetness. Rarely found outside Japan, and almost never in a bottle.
  • 720ml, boxed — the same format as a wine bottle, designed to sit on the table through an entire meal. Four to six generous servings per bottle, no teapot required.
  • Brewed at 3–5× the standard leaf volume at CRAFT BREW TEA Studio, where water quality, temperature, and extraction time are controlled to the decimal, then sealed at peak flavor.
  • Nothing like it on American shelves — a shelf-stable, single-origin premium bottled tea, sent directly from CRAFT BREW TEA Studio in Shizuoka.

Producer's Story

CRAFT BREW TEA Studio is a precision brewing workshop within Marushichi Seicha — a Shizuoka tea house with over 100 years of history — launched in 2021 after two decades of preparation. Each bottle is made from one cultivar, one farm, one harvest day, brewed at 3–5× normal leaf concentration and sealed at peak extraction. The same discipline, every time. The full story of CRAFT BREW TEA lives on the Imperial Yame Gyokuro page.

Tasting Notes

Light golden-green in the glass. The aroma opens with white flowers and faint honey — the signature of the Kōshun cultivar. On the palate: clean and gently sweet, with a soft green finish that lingers without bitterness. Refreshing at room temperature; chilled, it becomes more precise and floral.

Pairing Ideas

Pour alongside sushi or sashimi in place of sake — Kōshun's floral clarity amplifies the sweetness of white fish without overpowering it. It works equally well as the closing pour of a tasting menu, served at room temperature as the meal settles. For a non-alcoholic aperitif: serve chilled in a wine glass before grilled vegetables or a light seafood salad.
